CALICE BECKER
Calice Becker, a distinguished French perfumer, has captivated the fragrance world with her inventive creations and artistic approach. Born to a pre-revolution Russian immigrant family, Becker’s early exposure to fragrance and craftsmanship set the stage for her future career. She trained at the prestigious Roure-Bertrand-Dupont School in Grasse and honed her skills under the mentorship of Francoise Caron at Quest International. Becker’s breakthrough came with the creation of J’Adore by Christian Dior, a global favorite that showcases her ability to blend classic elegance with modern innovation.
Becker’s versatility shines through her work with By Kilian, where she deftly balances rare natural ingredients with contemporary synthetics. Her perfumes, influenced by diverse art forms—from Rembrandt’s color techniques to Banksy’s provocative messages—offer a rich tapestry of sensory experiences. This commitment to blending tradition with innovation has established Becker as a master perfumer, earning her accolades such as the Lifetime Achievement Award from The Fragrance Foundation.
