Albert Fouquet
Albert Fouquet, the son of a Parisian aristocrat, was a self-taught perfume enthusiast who turned his passion for blending exquisite scents into a legacy. From the top floor of his family chateau, aided by the loyal butler Philippe, Albert experimented with rare ingredients gathered during his travels across Europe and South America. It was on a plant-hunting mission to Chile that he discovered the unique botanicals that inspired his now-iconic fragrance. Despite his friends’ adoration of his creations, Albert resisted commercializing his perfumes, valuing their exclusivity.
The turning point came during a summer vacation on the French Riviera when Albert met a young John F. Kennedy. JFK was captivated by Albert’s signature scent, prompting a request for samples for himself and his friends. Naming the perfume “Eight & Bob,” in honor of JFK’s letter, Albert crafted an enduring masterpiece—steeped in elegance, rarity, and an unforgettable story.
